Oaki Size Guide & Measurement Charts
Q: Which Children’s Waders should I purchase, Breathable or Neoprene?
A: All Oaki waders are designed to be fully waterproof and come with rubber boots that are permanently attached to the wader pant. The functional difference is in the material: breathable nylon or insulating neoprene. Neoprene waders insulate much like a dry suit, keeping your child warmer in cold water and colder weather conditions. Breathable waders, on the other hand, are made from a waterproof yet breathable fabric that allows moisture vapor to escape but provides little to no insulation. Generally speaking, neoprene waders are used from late autumn through early spring, while breathable waders are preferred from late spring to early autumn. Your choice ultimately comes down to the expected climate, season, and activity. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions at: info@oaki.com.
Q: Which size of waders should I purchase for my child?
A: Our wader sizing is primarily based on age, and the sizing numbers correspond to the average age suggested. For example, a size 2T should generally fit a 2 year-old through their second year. Likewise, a size 7 will generally fit the average 7 year-old through their seventh year. If you’re unsure about a size, it’s usually best to go up in size, allowing extra room for growth. For clarity, see our wader sizing charts below the product description as some sizes differ between breathable and neoprene.

Q: Which size of boots should I purchase for my child?
A: Our boot sizes vary slightly from one style to the next. For the best fit, measure your child's foot and compare it to the size chart below. Rubber boots won't stretch or change size with wear. When in doubt, we recommend that you size up.

Q: Which size of rain bibs should I purchase for my child?
A: Our rain bib sizing is primarily based on your child’s height, but the chart also includes detailed measurements for the outside leg, inside leg, chest width, hem width, and front rise in centimeters to help you find the most accurate fit. The adjustable shoulder straps give extra flexibility, so a single size can often fit across more than one growth stage.
For example, a size 3T has an outside leg measurement of 77 cm and inside leg of 42 cm, while a size 10/11 measures 113.5 cm on the outside leg and 68 cm inside leg. If your child is between sizes or you plan to layer clothing underneath, we recommend sizing up for comfort and extended wear.
For clarity, please refer to our rain bib size chart below to match your child’s measurements with the right fit.

Q: Which size of rain jacket should I purchase for my child?
A: Our rain jacket sizing is primarily based on chest and waist measurements, with torso length provided for added accuracy. The size numbers generally correspond to the average age, but for the best fit we recommend measuring your child and comparing to the size chart.
For example, a size 2T has a 28" chest and waist with a torso length of 9", while a size 10 has a 38.25" chest and waist with a 17" torso length. If your child is between sizes or you plan to layer clothing underneath, we suggest sizing up for extra comfort and room to grow.

Q: Which size of snowsuit should I purchase for my child?
A: Our snowsuit sizing is based on overall length, chest, sleeve length, and inseam measurements. The size numbers generally correspond to the average age, but for the most accurate fit we recommend measuring your child and comparing to the chart.
For example, a size 12M has a length of 28.5", chest of 14", and inseam of 12", while a size 14/15 measures 52.5" in length, 22" in the chest, and has a 24.5" inseam.
Please note that our snowsuits are designed with a roomy fit for layering and movement, and sizing tends to run large. We recommend sizing down if your child is between sizes or if you prefer a closer fit.
For clarity, please refer to our snowsuit size chart below to match your child’s measurements with the right size.

Q: Which size of base layer should I purchase for my child?
A: Our base layer sizing is determined by both length (in inches) and height measurements to ensure a comfortable fit. The size numbers generally correspond to the average age, but the measurements in our chart provide the most accurate guide.
For example, a size 4T has a length of 5 1/4" and height of 5 7/8", while a size 13T measures 7 1/2" in length and 7 7/8" in height.
If your child falls between two sizes, we recommend sizing up for added comfort and extended wear—especially if you plan on layering underneath.
Please refer to our base layer size chart below to find the best fit for your child.

Q: Which size of rain pants should I purchase for my child?
A: Our rain pants sizing is based on waist and inseam measurements to ensure a comfortable and functional fit. The waistband is elastic with an adjustable drawstring, providing flexibility within the minimum and maximum waist range listed in the chart.
For example, a size 2T has a waist range of 18.5"–23" with a 12" inseam, while a size 14/15 fits a 26"–34" waist with a 26" inseam. Adult sizes are also available, with Small fitting a 28"–36" waist and Medium fitting a 29"–38" waist.
If your child is between sizes or will be layering clothing underneath, we recommend sizing up for comfort and longer wear. Please refer to our rain pants size chart above to match your child’s measurements to the best fit.
